breau money

"Breau" (pronounced "buroo", with the first syllable very subtle and understated) is the Belfast pronunciation of the word "bureau", where the unemployed go each week to collect their "breau money." To be unemployed in Belfast is to be "on the breau", (hence the Belfast equivalent of being "on the dole".)
