Glossary entry for
paris bun
Experts (specifically Roy Bowers, a native of Belfast) inform me that a "Paris Bun"
is a cone-shaped cake (rather than being bread-like) with a circular base.
Sometimes the base has been dipped in chocolate; usually the bun
contains fairly large sugar crystals on the surface.
Sounds like something I'd remember fondly (and maybe write a song about) too...
