Fireworks in the amusement park and Van's singing Brown Eyed Girl. Is that an larger than life experience? Well, don't know, but it started promising with a really focused Van. He worked hard on the old songs and even Have I Told You was a treat. St James started deep down in New Orelans and I thought this is gonna be a night to remember. And "Big Blue Diamonds" was YEAH WOW! But I'm afraid Paul Moran (I'm not that familiar with his face so I just assume it's him) was having a hard time as the replacement trumpet player when mr Bell was out of town. And I felt sorry for the guy. Who in the world can play the organ and the trumpet simultaneously? But real trouble started when Van's new little George Formaby-machine didn't work properly. He switched to sax in "Ritual" and the magic was somewhere else.
